Unfortunately, I don't have much time reading stuff i like or have real interest in. I study laws and therefore spend all my time on reading boring verdicts and law literature. There is a strike on the high educational system in Israel for the last 25 days. I've decided to read one of the many books in my library i haven't read yet: "conversations with Otto Klemperer" by Peter Heyworth.
Otto Klemperer (1885-1973) is one of the important conductor in the 20th Century, his main repertoire came from the romantic German music: Brahms, Beethoven and Mahler. He suffered from manic depressive illness, and you can see him in a live manic attack here:
Klemperer is rehearsing the bows movements and one of the players isn't taking klemprerer orders and gets some yelling: Why don't you take the bows i gave you?
